Holidays: Are You Aware? By: Eamon M. What’s the first thing you think of when you wake up on a day off of school? I’m sure its not, “Oh hey Mom, Happy Yom Kippur, or Happy Martin Luther King Day.” If you do that, way to go, kudos to you, give yourself a pat on the back. But most of us don’t even acknowledge that stuff. Size Doesn’t Matter By: Ariel P. Every year many teenagers are uncomfortable with their weight and result to drastic measures like anorexia and bulimia in order to convince themselves that they can become like the slim sized people they see in everyday life. These kinds of disorders are more commonly used with girls than guys. Investing for your future By: Emily S. Everyone, no matter their age, should invest for their future. But sadly, saving is no longer a priority. Currently, the rate on personal savings in the United States is one of the lowest in the world. In the 1980s, personal savings rates were a low 8.2%. |
