By Lydia A. and Stevi B. Are you involved in the class of 2009? “The class of ’09 has a revamped leadership team. As a result, they have a renowned spirit about Perry Hall. Students are excited about fundraising and they
had a blast at the Ring Dance,” says the class of ‘09 sponsor, Mr. Pipkin. The only concerns of the class of 2009 for this year are having enough funds to make the prom inexpensive. This year’s fundraisers for the class of 2009 are sales for pies, cookie dough, plants, senior banquets, coca cola, hats and scarves, sweatpants, and dinner nights. The dinner nights for this year will be held at Noodles and Company, Chick-Fil-A, Vocceli Pizza, and Fuddruckers. The past fundraiser of the pie sales was successful. The class of 2009 sold over 800 pies thanks to the awesome commercials and the great support from the class of 2009. The class of 2009 is open to anyone and everyone. Meetings are open to anyone wishing to come to join and get involved. Meetings occur in room 133, once a month formally, but sometimes daily for the committees. “The more people who join, the more fun we can have,” says Mr. Pipkin. The activities planned for this year include ring dance and ceremony, prepping for prom, and two service projects. The Class of 2009 is very focused on fundraising. The Perry Hall community as a whole can support the class by joining them in dinner nights and supporting fundraisers. People interested in helping or joining the class of 2009 should listen to the announcements for the next meeting date, and stop by at one of the monthly meetings to contribute their ideas to ensure a great ring dance and prom. |
