Been to the mall recently? Well, if you haven’t noticed there are many new attractions. Between the relatively new Zumiez and re-done Pacsun, Zimbabwe Art Gallery and food places the mall has changed a lot. Stores compete with prices and sales and the average teenager wins. The new fads and trends quickly spread and the stores catch on. So, I interviewed some friends and employers of the places and seen what they had to say about the new place of work they picked. Jesse has been working at Zumiez now for a couple months and seems to be enjoying his job. When asked what kind of crowd he usually sees there, he said middle school, high school, and people in their early twenties. There, the store hours are 9:30am to 10 pm. But, there are always competing stores so, for Zumiez there is the newly redone Pacsun. People find out about these new places by advertisements in the mall. Zumiez offers skate and snow apparel and it is a hit. Some interviews were done on teens that actually shopped at these places. “Zumiez is more organized, and has more space in it” said, Stevi B. The brands are basically the same but Pacsun doesn’t sell snowboards at the store. The items they sell include all clothing, hats, socks, gloves, skateboards, snowboards, sport goggles, jewelry, purses, book bags, and perfume/cologne.

Pac sun has pretty much the same prices though but not as many items. It is a pretty cool place to shop. Joe works at Pac sun and he says he loves it. “A lot of my friends shop there so I frequently get visits from them which is always fun” he says. He enjoys shopping there as well with his discount on their clothes and other items. The people working at these places are very friendly too and always willing to offer help when needed.  People who are more into diverse culture and art might want to check out the new Zimbabwe art gallery. This gives a more cultural outlook to the mall. They sell art paintings, rugs, and sculptures. Their style is more unique, and shows more of an eclectic style then that of other stores so it is very different. With so many new additions to the mall, it has become quite the place to be these days. So if you haven’t been recently you might want to go and enjoy some of the new places it has to offer.
