From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

Hello parents, guardians and students, the 2017-2018 school-year is about to begin. The administration and staff have been working hard to prepare for the students' arrival. We already welcomed new students and 9th graders to the building on August 30th for a half day. They had a short assembly and ran through the A Day/B Day schedule meeting their teachers and getting to know the building layout. We expect all the students Tuesday September 5th. Please remind your children to bring in their ID badges from last year if they still have them at home. Seniors who have a part schedule will receive an exit pass that fits into their ID holder to show as they leave the building. School doors are opening at 7:15 a.m. as with last year. Doors will be opened at 7:00 a.m. and students asked to wait in the main lobby during inclement weather.

The school mission remains the same "To work together to cultivate a community of life-long learners." Students will receive a syllabus for their courses from the teachers that describes grading policies and supply needs. Please plan to attend the "Back-To-School-Night" on Thursday September 7th at 6:30 p.m. it will start in the auditorium with a PTSA meeting. Back to School Night is a great opportunity to meet your child's teachers and learn about the programs at PHHS. The focus on literary skills for all students continues this year, and hopefully your child completed summer reading.
