Symphonic Band, directed by Mr. Scott Engel, is the intermediate-level band at Perry Hall High School. Once students have demonstrated the necessary skills to consistently perform at Grade 3 and higher levels of literature, they will be prepared for the Symphonic Band. The goal of the Symphonic Band is to develop musicianship on an individual level to allow each student to perform appropriately in an ensemble and with their individual sections. After demonstrating not only acceptable levels of performance, but also the beginnings of maturity and responsibility to prepare individually for band class, students will be ready to step up to Symphonic Winds, on the road to being in Wind Ensemble.
