Music Tech 4 Project 1: The Sounds of School
You will need to create a composition of eight parts for non-traditional, non-pitched percussion. The "percussion" sounds you use must be sounds that occur in school and are not "normal" musical instruments.
Your project should be 5-7 minutes long and in A-B-A form, depicting something that occurs in the normal everyday life of being in school.
Music Tech 4 Project 2: Soundtrack
For Project 2, you will need to bring in a video that can be imported into Cakewalk Home Studio (*.avi, *.mov, or *.mpg formats) and create a 5- to 7-minute soundtrack for this video.
The soundtrack must use orchestral instrumentation and should also incorporate commonly accepted rules of music theory and demonstrate good knowledge of musical form and composition.
