Advanced Placement

 

The 2022 AP Exams will be administered in school as paper-and-pencil exams (except for the AP Chinese Language exam, which is computer-based) over two weeks in May: May 2–6 and May 9–13.

How to Register for an AP Exam:

  1. Enroll in the AP classroom section that corresponds to the specific AP exam/course you are taking. The exam cannot be ordered for you from College Board if you are not enrolled in AP Classroom. Directions for enrolling in AP classroom can be found here:

  2. Register AND pay (unless you have been approved for a fee waiver) for the exam on Total Registration during the registration period.
  3. If you qualify for a fee reduction or fee waiver, you must complete the universal fee waiver form and submit it to Mrs. Botteon, AP Coordinator, by Friday, November 5.

The registration period will begin Monday, October 4 at 12:01 a.m. and end on Friday, November 5 at 11:59 pm.  AP exam registration will take place online through the Total Registration website: www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/210175

You must answer all the required questions on Total Registration.  Registration is not complete until you see the printable PDF registration confirmation page.  Please be sure to have a credit card or debit card available before beginning registration. 

2022 AP Exam Fees:

  • Regular exam fee: $96
  • AP Capstone Exam (AP Seminar & AP Research exams): $144
  • AVID Students (approved fee reduction)/Regular Exam: $53
  • AVID Students (approved fee reduction)/AP Capstone Exam: $101
  • Approved Fee Waiver/Regular Exam: $0
  • Approved Fee Waiver/AP Capstone Exam: $0
  • Students who cancel an exam by Friday, November 13, are entitled to a full refund of the exam fee.
  • Students who cancel an exam by Friday, March 11, 2022, are entitled to a refund of the exam fee minus a cancellation fee of $40.00 (per exam cancelled). After Friday, March 11, 2022, there will be NO REFUNDS.

Art and Design:
Friday, May 6, 2022 is the last day for AP coordinators to submit digital AP 2-D Art and Design, 3-D Art and Design, and Drawing portfolios (by 8 p.m. ET) and to gather 2-D Art and Design and Drawing students for physical portfolio assembly. Teachers should forward completed Digital Art and Design portfolios to coordinators before this date.
